At Antistatique, we have encountered a challenge common to many projects: the effective management of consent for cookies. To meet this challenge, we developed "Leckerli", a unified solution based on Google Tag Manager. Here are the reasons for this choice and the advantages of our approach.

Custom tag with Google Tag Manager

We've designed our own fully configurable tag to manage consent banners. By exploiting the "custom templates" functionality in Google Tag Manager, this tag offers flexibility and ease of sharing between projects. More details on templates here: Google Tag Manager Custom Templates.

GTM settings

For each tag in Google Tag Manager, it is essential to set the necessary consent, making the process transparent and intuitive. See how it works here: Google Tag Manager Consent Overview.

Advanced configuration

Our tag is configurable in terms of both content and operation. This makes it possible to add advanced behaviour to your site via predefined JavaScript events. The aim is to be able to adapt to each site and give the best possible control over the consent process.
In the spirit of collaboration and sharing, we've decided to make our "Leckerli Cookie Banner" tag available to everyone. This project is available as open source and can be found on the Google Tag Manager Community Template Gallery. To access the code and contribute, visit the Leckerli GitHub Repository.

Why this approach?

By immersing ourselves in Google Consent Mode, we were able to clarify a number of recurring questions: how tags with integrated consents work and when consent conditions are reassessed. Thanks to this exploration, we now have a clearer view of these issues.

Experiment #2 – Surway, a social experiments game

Pour notre deuxième expérimentation, nous avons relevé le défi de sortir de notre zone de confort en développant Surway, un jeu vidéo jouable directement dans le navigateur, où les actions de chaque joueur restent inscrites pour tous ceux qui suivront.
